6½ octave Grand Piano by William Stodart, London c.1815-20

We are pleased to offer for sale this fine grand piano by William Stodart. This piano has a large compass for its date of c.1815-20, having 6½ octaves (CC-f4), with an English grand action and two pedals operating the una ⁄due chorda and sustain.

The case is in mahogany with mahogany crossbanding and a single line inlay, and stands on four turned legs. The nameboard & keywell are in satinwood with rosewood banding.

Nameboard inscription reads: ″Wm. Stodart ⁄ Maker to Their Majesties & ⁄ The Royal Family ⁄ GOLDEN SQUARE ⁄ London″

This instrument is tuned to a¹=415.

Case dimensions: 2300 × 1210 × 310mm approx. (90½ × 47½ × 12¼″)

This instrument is offered for sale on behalf of the owner. It has been tuned and regulated in our workshops and is available to play and inspect by appointment.
